OrthoPolyphosphates (sometimes referred to as OPP) combine both orthophosphate and polyphosphate into the same formulation to achieve enhanced corrosion protection and sequestration properties in a single formulation. These products have come into great favor over the past ten years in the treatment of a wide range of both corrosion and sequestration problems due to their versatility and ease of application. Unlike orthophosphates or zinc orthophosphates, OPP tends to be more neutral and thus safer to handle than orthophosphate based products and in many cases have been shown to outperform other classes of inhibitors in certain water types. Sweetwater offers a wide range of ortho to polyphosphate formulation ratios in both liquid and dry formulations.
