Products : Zinc Orthophosphates
All Sweetwater zinc orthophosphates are certified toANSI/NSF Standard 60
Sweetwater zinc orthophosphates actively inhibit corrosion by forming a microscopic, protective film on the inside surface of water pipes and other metal surfaces. This process limits the release of lead, copper, and iron from water mains and domestic plumbing. These zinc orthophosphates help to reduce rusty water and prevent the formation of iron deposits and the byproducts or corrosion. They also protect against the release of asbestos and cement from AC piping.
Like other Sweetwater phosphate based inhibitors, zinc orthophosphates do not elevate the pH of the treated water like caustic soda or lime does. By maintaining a more neutral pH they can reduce the potential for THM formation and reduce the amount of chlorine needed for disinfection which is more effective at a neutral pH. Below please find some information on just a few of the many different zinc orthophosphates that Sweetwater has to offer.
